Leg curls for stronger legs and improved balance

Client is using a stability ball in this exercise which helps improve balance and coordination, increase strength and endurance, strengthen the core muscles and complement any resistance or aerobic fitness program.Aside from strengthening the hamstrings, this movement also challenges several other muscle groups. The gastrocnemius of the calf, the popliteus of the knee, and the gracilis and sartorius of the thigh work with the hamstrings to bend the knees and pull the ball in.

Throw in the stabilizing muscles working – abs, erector spinae, glutes and the tibialis anterior – and you have one great exercise for stronger legs and improved balance and coordination!

Squats for balance and core strength

Squats primarily engage the large muscles in your legs and glutes; you’ll see greater results in balance and core strength using a BOSU ball with your squats!

A Bosu ball is not only a balance aid, helping users coordinate muscles and nerves for unstable conditions that you experience in everyday life, but it also assists it a number of other types of training, such as stretching, rehabilitation, and strength training.
